This is the time of year when fitness and nutrition get tricky for me. All the foods. All the excuses. All the head colds. This week didn’t start out great, but I was able to bring it back up and keep my momentum going strong. I also started my own 10 day healthy eating challenge that began on Monday AND the Runner’s World Run Streak (#RWRunStreak). I want to talk more about both of these things, but I’m going to wait and give them their own post in a day or two. So, what did I do for exercise this week? I thought you would never ask.

Unintentional rest day. Do you see why I do my check ins now on Wednesdays?! It was cold and rainy and so close to Thanksgiving… I was overcome with the lazies. Booooo!

Thanksgiving! YAY! Also, the start of #RWRunStreak! DOUBLE YAY! Of course, it ended up being a HORRIBLE run. My plan was four miles, but my two year old son had other ideas. We only made it a little over a mile before all toddler hell broke loose and we went home.

I did upper body strength training at the gym during my dinner break (I had to work) and a one mile run on the treadmill.

My son ended up catching a cold on Thanksgiving and has been getting progressivley worse. He spread his germs to me (sharing is caring) and gave me a touch of a head cold. I still made it for a two mile run after 8:30pm.

I actually felt worse on Tuesday, but am crazy and had to go out for my mile to keep my running streak going.
So yeahhhhh. Not my best week, but not my worst. I only got one strength training session in, but still ran 10 miles for my #RWRunStreak. (ANd I did this with a cold. That NEVER happens.) I’m already feeling better and am excited for this week. Stay tuned for an update on my streaking and mu healthy eating.
Thanks for stopping by.
