A Quick Catch Up, What’s Ahead, and a Chocolate Winner!

First of all, Happy New Year! {Did you all have amazing New Year’s Eve plans? My parents watched my son for me so that Dave and I could have a sushi date!}

2014 was an amazing year for me and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the next 365 days. That being said, I’m not really a revolutions type of person. I do, however, like to make goals for the new year.

2015 Goals:

1. Run a marathon.

2. Read 50 books.

3. Start a Happiness Jar.

You might have noticed a lack of Work Out Wrap Ups the last half of December. I’m still doing the #RWRunStreak, but it is ALL I’m doing. Having a two year old makes for a VERY BUSY holiday. Being almost 33 makes for a very tired mother runner. I have my last #RWRunStreak run today and then I will post all the details. {Spoiler alert: I can’t wait for it to be over!}

I mentioned in early December that I was trying to lose weight. It wasn’t happening. Ha! Seriously though, I had a really great time eating everything in front of me, but now it’s go time. I started two DietBets AND the 21 Day Fix last Friday. I’m already down 7 pounds (although I refuse to hop on the scale this morning after the glut fest that was last night’s sushi date!), and am hoping to lose 7 more. I’ll be done the 21 Day Fix by the 15th of January, which also happens to be my first week of half marathon training. I plan to reassess my diet then and move on from there. I will be posting more about the 21 Day Fix soon. I even have my food calendars to post.

My 2015 reading challenge officially begins today! I will be posting updates every Tuesday. Please feel free to comment with the books you are reading. I would love to be able to grow this Tuesday post into a real book discussion.

Lastly, I have the honor to announce our very first Chocolate winner!

Congratulations Sara Z.

I will be emailing you shortly to get your info so I can send you out your box of chocolates. Didn’t win this month? There will be a new contest up tout de suite. I hope everyone enters again.

That’s it for now. It’s time to enjoy my coffee in silence before picking up the tiny BFF from his grandparents’ house. I hope you all have a fabulous day and a beautiful 2015.
