2015 Reading Challenge {Week Five}

I cannot believe we are five weeks into the new year already.  What happened to January?  The winter is my favorite time to read.  I like to cuddle on the couch with a hot drink, a blanket, and a favorite book.  Of course, this isn’t always doable with a toddler in the house.  Lucky for me, my son’s new favorite hobby is watching his dad play Mario Sunshine, so this gives me about an hour of alone time to enjoy my current book of the week.

Last week I talked about starting Anne Bishop’s Daughter of the Blood {which is book one of the Black Jewels trilogy}.  I was liking it, but not loving it, and I decided that I wouldn’t use this book as my trilogy… until I had about 100 pages left and suddenly could not pull myself away.  The book ended on a sort of cliffhanger and I totally had to grab book two the next day.

So yeah… Saturday I started Heir to the Shadows while eating Yogurtland during my dinner break.  Like the first one, it’s taking me some time to get into the story, but I am really interested to see what happens with Jaenelle.  I’m sure I’ll be done by next week. 🙂

IMG_0668I also *just* finished Sylvia Day’s In the Flesh on audio.  Hahahaha.  This was one of those books that I probably should have read because it was a little awkward to listen to at times.  {I legit wish you could hear the way the narrator said “crevice”… and he said it a few times.}  I did enjoy the story though and look forward to the rest of the trilogy if it ever comes out.  Now I need to decide what I want to listen to tomorrow…

Did you read anything great this week?  What’s the next book on your To Be Read pile?  Do you like audiobooks?
