2015 Reading Challenge {Week Seventeen}

Dude! Last week I *finally* finished Kelley Armstrong’s Sea of Shadows.  BLAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Sea of Shadows was my #17: A book a friend recommended. Usually this friend {Alexis, I’m talking about you!} and I have pretty similar tastes, but not this time.  If it wasn’t for this challenge, I totally would have DNF’d this book. Maybe teens would love it {it is YA}, but the characters were too annoying, the stereotypes were stereotypical, and the pace of the book just didn’t do it for me.  So, yeah. I do not recommend this book!

IMG_2453I did get to start the latest book in JR Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood series, The Shadows. I love JR Ward!  Love, love, LOVE! There was a hot minute there where I started to get tired of this series {sorry Phury, Rhevenge, Butch- you all did nothing for me}, but I’m loving the feel of the books again. There is so much world building, and I love all the side stories happening at the same time as the main romance story line. The Shadows is Trez and Selena’s story, and while I’m enjoying it, I’m so much more interested in iAm and Rhage!!!  {I love youuuuuu, Hollywood!} I’m a little over half way done and am in no hurry to finish.  I just want to enjoy the brain candy for as long as possible.

IMG_2631As much as I love Audible, I ran out of credits, and am cheap, so I decided to borrow the audiobook of Rachel Caine’s Midnight Alley from the library. I’m really enjoying rereading listening to these books and they are such a great way to unwind on my way home from work. If you like vampire books, these might be worth a try.

That’s about it for now. I have a few new books on my TBR shelf that I’m really looking forward to starting, so I can’t wait to update you all next week. In the meantime, have a great weekend everyone.
