Double Weekly Workout Wrap Up Part 1 {And #28DayJumpStart Results}

Life has been crazy. Between the awesome exercising, Summer Reading quickly approaching, and a few other personal side projects I’m starting, I have not updated my blog in two weeks. No Workout Wrap Ups and No Reading Challenge Check Ins. 🙁 So, I’m going to try to double post and catch up on both today. Let’s start by catching up on the fitness…

Monday, May 11, 2015IMG_2930Monday I worked on upper body strength training during my lunch break.

Tuesday, May 12, 2015 IMG_2944Three mile run during my break. It’s not fast, but it is pain free, so I’m taking it.

Wednesday, May 13, 2015  IMG_2960I was out at a training Wednesday and got out early, so I deiced to take my run outside before my husband and son got home. Oh! I also got in my new Fabletics outfit. Nothing like running your three miles in brand spanking new awesome clothes.

Thursday, May 14, 2015 IMG_2975Just another three miles during my dinner break.

Friday, May 15, 2015 IMG_2988Upper body strength training during my dinner break. Friday night at the gym = all the bros. :-/

Saturday, May 16, 2015 IMG_2999My first “long run” in MONTHS! There was some major pep talking happening pre run, and then I pulled up to the park to find a 5K with doggies happening. Ha! It’s never dull. Anywho, I’m running my weekly runs straight through, but am doing intervals for the weekend long runs. I completed this six miles running 5 minutes/walking 1 minute. It felt pretty great.

Rest day!

Totals:

-15 miles of running
-2 upper body strength training sessions

Thoughts:

This was my final week of the Fit Girls’ Guide #28DayJumpstart. I am so happy with my results and will  be joining the next challenge on June 1. I highly recommend checking them out if you’re looking to build better exercise and eating habits, while being part of an awesome Instagram community.

Here was this week’s food:

Spinach Feta Wrap with Pear IMG_2966

Lunch was Build a Bowls, but I have no pictures. 🙁

Dinner consisted of Mediterranean Polenta IMG_2936 {It was deceptively yummy!}

And Fajita Zucchini Boats IMG_2948

Now, probably the part everyone has been waiting for, my results:

IMG_3067 In 28 days, I lost 5.2 pounds and 9 inches! WOOHOO!!!!IMG_3112 IMG_3113 IMG_3114Note: My before pictures are from 3/15/15. I started the challenge, but never really committed and gave up pretty fast. I didn’t want to take new pictures in April because I knew nothing had changed.

I am very very happy with my results. I’m proud of what I accomplished and and excited to see what I can do next. The momentum definitely stayed with me into the following week, and I will be starting that wrap up now. Stay tuned and thanks for stopping by!
