Double Weekly Workout Wrap Up Part 2

Last week began the two week break between Fit Girls’s Guide challenges. My momentum was still going strong though, so I bought their cookbook, made my own meal plan, and kept up with my workouts. Here’s the daily break down:

Monday, May 18, 2015IMG_3061Lower body strength training during my break. It was a great workout and I could really feel the burn. 

Tuesday, May 19, 2015 IMG_30653 mile run. {It was a little exhausting.}

Wednesday, May 20, 2015 IMG_3100From all dressed up to a sweaty mess. 3 mile run. Boom!

Thursday, May 21, 2015 IMG_3117 IMG_3124Who is this crazy girl? Double workout for me this Thursday. I did a three mile run in the morning and then did upper body strength training during my dinner break.

Friday, May 22, 2015 IMG_3140Lower body strength training and core work today, with a smidgen of foam rolling for good measure.

Saturday, May 23, 2015 IMG_3159There’s the long run for the week. 7 miles with 5 minute running/1 minute walking intervals.

Totals:

-16 miles running
-3 strength training sessions (2 lower body and one upper body)

Thoughts:

It was a great strong week. I’m still enjoying the workouts and they seem to keep me on track and better focused. I’m happy with how my knees are holding up and I hope every week is this great.

    • Thank you so much, Sara! I’m certainly trying. 🙂 I have two halfs in the fall. Possibly something BIGGER. That’s my main goal right now. I’m just trying to be smart with my training.
