So…. Hi! I started recounting my macros back in March after gaining way too much weight during the fall and winter. I was counting macros and running, but my knees were killing me and I wasn’t quite seeing the results I was hoping for, so I decided that I was going to put running on hold and start focusing on my lifting again.
On June 13, I began Jamie Eason’s Livefit Trainer and I am absolutely in love with this program. I first looked into Livefit Trainer back in the winter, but TBH, I was scared to start because the very first exercise was push ups and I was too embarrassed to do push ups in the gym. I’m not sure what gave me the push I needed, but I have been much better at trying new exercises and asking for help when I don’t know what to do these days.
And this catches us up to Week 3. (Which was five days of lifting instead of four. Yay?)
- Squats are a challenge for me! I’m squatting with a 25 pound bar and it’s a struggle. I’m hoping to get strong enough to start using the squat rack in the next couple of weeks.
- I hate lunges. My knees hate lunges. I’m not doing the walking barbell lunge, but instead doing the alternate lunge with no weight.
- I *almost* chickened out of the single leg deadlift with a barbell… but I didn’t and it turned out to be my most favorite exercise I did!

Back and Biceceps. You know it’s a hard workout if I skip my 1-2 mile post lifting run. Tonight was no joke! I also learned how to do a Hammer Strength Lat Pull and the T-Bar Row made me feel like a beast. 🙂
Wednesday, June 29, 2016 Triceps and chest followed by 20 minutes of HIIT on the treadmill. Today I learned how to do a Decline Fly, which was pretty exciting. (Maybe it’s stupid, but I really am proud of how much braver I have gotten with the exercises I’m doing each day!) Also, since I’m running a lot less, I’m trying to make the running that I do do much harder. Tonight I pushed it!
Friday, July 1, 2016 Delts and Abs. Delts is always my most humbling body part to work out. Today was no exception. I need to use super light weights and I always feel stupidly awkward doing the moves. I just put my headphones on loud, keep my head down, and focus on me.
And that ends Livefit Trainer Week 3! YAY!
